President Trump said lots of nice, and good things about GW Bush. Some people don't understand how this shows what a great man and president Our Mr DJ Trump is. He is so much better then those who did not support him its humbling. I am so proud of our president. He makes the rest of those presidents look like spoiled snot nosed swamp dwelling DIRTY BACKSTABBING scum , just like they truly are. He has proven how much better he is. Not stooping to the hate and low level of the left. Good job Mr. PRESIDENT.
ReplyDeleteThough we are a nation of immigrants, we have not had our borders open for over hundred and fifty years. My great Grandparents immigrated to the United States a hundred and twenty years ago. They arrived at Ellis Island near the end of the eighteen hundreds.
ReplyDeleteBack in those days, every person wishing to immigrate to the United States had to first pass physicals and all those who were ill, went into quarantine, until we were sure the individuals did not carry any kind of disease that could start an epidemic.
Next, those wishing to immigrate to the United States had to be willing to dedicate their lives to our country. A person wishing to become an American who is waving their country of origin, is not a person who wants to become a part of this great nation.
ReplyDeleteAfter being vetted, the candidates had to learn the history of our country and to know our government. Today, our own citizens do not understand, this nation was created under the idea of separation of power. Each state is a sovereign entity onto itself, while the federal government is endowed with the job of providing the essentials for our country only.
Every state has its own government that mirrors that of our federal government, where they could create their own constitution and giving them the freedom to decide how their state was to be governed.
After learning the type pf government and heritage. The immigrant had to be willing to assimilate into our society, not the other way around. The left wants our entire country to cater to the immigrant’s heritage, rather than becoming part of our heritage. The foundation of our country is for those wishing to be naturalized wants to become part of this great experiment.
Once the immigrant went through the entire process, they must swear their allegiance to this great nation. Those gathering at our Southern Borders are carrying their countries of origins and are expecting to simply walk in and be catered to.
Over the past two years President Trump along with most
Americans have been asking for the border wall to be constructed but congress has refused to fund it. Now we are seeing why we wanted the border constructed.
ReplyDeleteAn invasion as taken over the city of Tijuana and the citizens are not happy. I has reached a point where the city can no longer finance the cost of the immigrants who are camped out on our border. It has now reached a point where the Mexican’s along the border, want to deport the immigrants back to their countries. After seeing and knowing that border crossing well I can understand why they are angry that this invasion from central America has taken over their city.
Since the immigrants have not been allowed to simply walk in, they have become violent. Not only to US border patrol agents, but their counterparts in Mexico as well. Immigrants are tossing bottles and rocks at authorities on both sides of the border and this needs to be stopped.
The United States has not had an open-door policy since the early days of our country and if anything, authorities were far stricter than they are today. The fact is, if we allow all these immigrants entry, there will be an increase in crime. To date there are some six hundred immigrants who have admitted to being members of MS-13 or who have committed crimes in their home countries.
Though we feel for the people of Tijuana, the Mexican Government did allow these immigrants entrance into Mexico. The United States cannot make the same mistake. Once those who organized this migration of immigrants, will only continue to send more.
ReplyDeleteThis issue has nothing to do with racism nor are we trying nor are we denying anyone from applying for entrance into the United States. All we are insisting is that they are properly vetted prior to being allowed to begin the process of becoming part of this great nation.
No, it is not easy for an immigrate to the United States, nor should It be so. There are many opportunities for those who wish to become citizens of this country. Those seeking this honor must first prove they will not become a Burdon on our society nor pose a threat to our republic
The United States takes in a million immigrants every year, those claiming otherwise are not telling the truth. This has nothing to do about race but rather our immigration policies. Those trying to seek entrance into our country illegally are breaking our laws.
We have seen the effects on open border policies in Europe and we cannot afford to make the same mistakes as they have. A border wall will not only encourage immigrants to legally apply for citizenship but it will also secure our sovereignty.
The United States is a very generous country and we are more than happy to share the American Dream with Naturalized citizens. We know how much they had to go through in order to become citizens and we welcome them with open arms. Yet every time we seek to enforce our immigration policies, the left claim it is due to racism. An argument that has been used far too many times and it is getting old.
It is the job of our federal government to protect us from foreign invaders who may wish us harm but this cannot be accomplished, if we do not know who is entering into our country. Adding to this is the economic burden placed on our society for those who are unable to care for themselves. Though the border wall does require a large sum of money to construct, it will pay for itself in a short period of time. While discouraging illegal entry and slowing the number of drugs entering our country.
It is not a secret that our southern border is poorly protected, in many places, there is nothing to prevent illegal entrance. A well-built wall is the only way to stop our country from being over burdened with those who do not belong here.
It is our obligation to call and e-mail our representatives of our demands to have a secure border wall constructed as soon as possible. Please take the time to ensure our legislators are aware of our demands and that they be carried out as soon as possible. We are a Country whose government is of the people, by the people and for the people. If our legislators seem to forget this, then they need to be replaced. GOD BLESS AMERICA.
Thank you Franco for allowing me to vent this morning.

Im Always Right, your vision of America is correct based on the founders of the country. Unfortunately this vision has been snuffed at least since about 1913 during the treasonous Presidency of Woodrow Wilson and his birthing of the Federal Reserve, the IRS to fleece the sheep to feed the machinery they were creating. Further snuffing out the utopian vision was advanced by FDR stealing the wealth of the country by confiscating its private gold holding and putting that into the hands of the private banking machinery of the Federal Reserve.
ReplyDeleteThe likes of more recent Presidents such as the current topic of this dirge, GHWB, is just another of the likes of the political class driving the sheep into a political prison pen.
Donald trump gave actual promises the he would stand against this historical abomination that would Make America Great Again. I'm one of those naive enough to believe that he actually meant it.
I think we must accept other people's having convictions not in accord with our own, Waylon.
DeleteI was very disappointed in George the First's presidency, but his LIFE overall was admirable., and as a husband and father EXEMPLARY.
Unlike the crafty, insidious "Cultural Marxists" whose worldview has proven itself MALIGNANT, – even DEMONIC, I would have to say –– patrician Americans of the Old School like the late President Bush, actually BELIEVED there is VIRTUE in the idea of developing a UNIFIED WORLD GOVERNMENT.
My impressiin of the bushes and many other members of their once-dominant class have been none too bright about being able to discern the ultimate ramifications of their Dream Visions. Because of this natural opacity, they too easiy fell prey to to the kind-soundng blandishments of of the sophistry and guile by which they were seduced.
The too-often-EVIL EFFECTS of Good Intentions have always been a constant deterrent to genuine human progress.
George Bush´s legacy is his humanity

President George H.W. Bush’s death at age 94 will inspire an outpouring of praise for his lifetime of service and his impact on the nation and the world. But beyond his many accomplishments in life and in office, perhaps President Bush will be remembered most for the man he was. The quality many people admired about Bush was his humanity – as a Texan might describe it, he didn’t put on airs. Even as president he chafed at the reverential treatment he received, and he was always looking for ways to put people at ease ...
Mozart's Requiem... A majestic composition appropriately chosen for this post Franco.

Secret Service agents breathed a collective sigh of relief when George H. W. Bush took office. Unlike previous presidents Lyndon Johnson and Jimmy Carter, Bush treated agents with respect and consideration. (Snip)Agents noted the contrast between George H. W. Bush and Al Gore, one of Bush´s successors as vice president. Like Hillary Clinton, Gore - who also claimed to be a champion of the ´little people´-treated agents with disdain and told them he did not want to be bothered greeting them or seeing them. ...
ABC’s “The View” cut abruptly to a commercial break after host Joy Behar used a segment remembering the life of George H.W. Bush to attack President Trump.
ReplyDeleteMeghan McCain, the show’s token conservatives, took offense to Behar invoking the current president while the other chatty hosts were remembering the outstanding life and accomplishments of President Bush. Just as McCain started to call her out, Behar shouted back and the whole thing devolved into a screeching mess. Whoopi had to intervene by calling for a commercial break
Yes, I saw a clip of that sorry episode on ine of the news shows disgusting! Degrading! Depressing! Behar should have been FIRED in the spot, but ... well you know ...
DeleteBut why keep EMPHASIZING these negative things? What GOOD could it possibly do?
Because it makes us feel good
ReplyDeleteMaybe you ought to look into why that's true for you, Super Man.
DeleteIt doesn'r make ME feel good at all. It makes me feel disgusted and depressed, because by tearing things down all the time, which is what the entire nation seems to b doing –– even when it's WARRANTED –– hands victory after victory to the ENEMY.
Don't you see that gettung US angry, upset, and fighting everyne in sight all the time s EXACTLY what the Maxist bastards have been aiming at for over a HUNDRED YEARS.
WE are not hurting THEM with our anger and drision, instead THEY are hurting US, bcause WE took the BAIy they've bern dangling for our eyes taunting, tantalizing, mocking, scoring ––virtually HYPNOTIZING –– US to the point where WE are in grave danger of becoming just like THEM.
I disagree Franco. My gut tells me Americans will come to their senses before we ever become Marxists. Maybe I'm just naive?
ReplyDeleteThe transformation has been called "The Long, SLOW March trough the Culture" with the object in mind of TRANSFORMING the indigenous culture not so much by frontal attack, though we've had planty of that by the early shrieking, roaring, bomb-throwng ANARCHISTS –– the Storm Troopers of the Marxist Cause –– who were desperately unattractive and NOT well received.
DeleteNO, the REAL danger to us –– the one that has been tragically EFFECTIVE –– has been the insidious, far more subtle SUBVERSION we HAVE already experenced through persistent sophistry and guile emanating from our UNIVERSITIES and the ENTERTAINMENT and COMMUNICATIONS industries.
Most of us have NO IDEA how far alo]ng the Road to Serfdom we have ALrEADY ben led.
The famous Frog-in-Pot Syndrome is full upon us, and like the poor frog we don't BEGIN to realize what is happening to us until ESCAPE from BEING BOILED ALIVE is no longer possible.
I happen to agree with "Superman" Franco, I makes me feel better also..
ReplyDeleteWe have been taking their CRAP ever since day one of Trumps election win.
Enough is Enough!
I don't want to see or hear ANY more of them getting away with treason.
This is their President, Like it or not. And he deserves the respect of the Presidency, LIKE IT OR NOT!
Hmmm. Did you proffer that same "RESPECT" to President Obama? I think not.
DeleteApples and oranges, Mr. Ramos. "We" may not have LIKED President Obama's ideas and policies, and "we" may –– very rightly –– have cast a weather eye on his exceedingly dubious, frankly odious BACKGROUND, but "our" elected representatives –– and NO ONE in the Deep State – made a single move to UNSEAT hm and OVERTURN the results of the 2008 election.
DeleteSo please get off your high horse, and STOP making ill-considered, snide remarks when –– as the proprieotr of this blog ––, I am trying to show proper resect for President GHW BUSH and to encourage others to do the same.
Hello, DD. While n one could possibly tell anyine else how they should FEEL, I still believe it's entirely appropriate to do my best to maintain high standards of decency and decorum by indicating how others OUGHT to ACT in PUBLIC.
DeleteUnfortunately, we have come to regard our former standards of etiquette as "HYPOCRITICAL." Perhaps so, but the we allow our feelings always to come to the surface an abandin all pretense of consideration of the feelngs of OTHERS, we make a rapid descent into BARBARISM.
Please remember the Golden Rule:
Treat OTHERS the way you WISH they would treat YOU.
Instead we are more and more treating OTHERS in the same ugly manner THEY treat US.
"An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth," etc. is the credo of an ANCIENT, totally UNENLIGHTENED tribe of brutal SAVAGES.
ON THIS the DAY of HER HUBAND'S FUNERAL I OFFER AGAIN this TRBUTE to FIRST LADY BARBARA BUSH. I HOPE SHE and HER HUSBAND GEORGE are NOW HAPPILY REUNITED and WILL LIVE FOREVER in PARADISE.
ReplyDelete____ Barbara Bush (1925-2018) ____
Beloved source of character and strength.
An asset to her family and our nation
Refreshing for her lack of agitation.
Barbara liived a good life of great length.
A life patrician, gracious, down-to-earth
Regal, yet a quintessential mother
A fount of strong opinion like no other,
But muted, disciplined, and tinged with mirth.
Unusually poised in public life
She had a kind of beauty very rare
Happy to have prematurely aged
Resplendent in her crown of snow white hair
In no way mean, her mind always engaged
Proud, yet humble, and always the ideal wife.

I WOULD HOPE TOO THAT EVERY MEMBER of this NATION WILL SET ASIDE THEIR DIFFERENCES and OFFER EMPATHY and CONDOLENCES to the BUSH FAMILY on this DAY of SOLEMN MOURNING.
I watced the entire funeral today not expecttng much, but found it tremendously moving. The elegies given by former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, retired Senator Alan Simpson, and George W. Bush were extraordinarily well phrased and beutifully delivered in the unique style of each speaker.
DeleteI found John Meachum's expertly crafted encomium to the late president to be notably fulsome, self-righteous and palpably insincere. Oh Meachum said ALL the "right" things, and with uncommon eloquence, but –– unlike the others mentioned above –– his delivery was stilted, oftent smarmy, and fairly bristling with virtue-signaling. His underlying message appeared to be "See what a remarkably Good Guy I am!"
Most of the service was wonderful, but it went on FAR too long with a series of tedious anticlimactic events including some notably BAD, highly UNSUITABLE music, and long drawn-out religious rituals that seemd "tacked on" to an otherwise splendid event that SHOULD have ended quickly after George W. Bush gave his touching, heartwarming address praising his late father with warmth, good humor, great dignity and composure till the very end when his voice shook and almost broke with emotion when he said something like this: No one could have had a better set of parents than I. They will always be very much mssed, but I take comfort in my belief that my Dad and my Mom are together again rigt now holding hands just as they did all years of their marriage."
The love and deep mutual respect demonstrated by the Bush family is a beautiful, frankly inspiring thing.
I have to admit I was disappointed to the point of becoming angry in the presidencies of both the Bushes, I wanted them to be more incisive, more combative, and less respectful of our enemies both at game and abroad, but combativeness was never their style. They believed in –– and never failed to practice –– the virtues of MODESTY, GENTILITY, CIVILITY and FORBEARANCE –– qualities all but lost in the maelstrom of undiciplined hyper-emotional, bilious, self-righteous bombast dminatng the poitical scene today.
At times the Bushes' approach may have seemed weak, but it wasn't –– not really. Appearances are often deceiving. Much of the time it takes greater courage, stronger character and more self-discipline to hold one's emotions in check than to let it all hang out as common louts do who are always getting into pointless barroom brawls, loud, sometimes violent domestic quarrels, and the ridiculous exchanges of unsults an verbal feuds we too often indulge in here in the blogosphere..
I don't have to agree with everything a person says, believes or does to give him respect and find him admirable.
Whatever George H. W. Bush may have lacked as a POLITCIAN he more than made up for as a MAN.
May he rest in peace and joyful reunion with his wife, his baby daughter who died so tragically of ancer at the age of three, and all his loved ones who passed on before him.
PS: Meachum's digs at President Trump, whom he slyly never mentioned by name, seemed all too obvious, and annoyed me very much. I've never cared for Meachum. I've always found him to be uncutuous and too obviously self-important.

How do you take a man — a 94-year-old man, a man who spent his life in service of his country, enlisting in the military at 18 years of age to serve in World War II, where his plane was shot down and he barely escaped capture, a man who went on to become a congressman, an ambassador to China, a CIA director, a vice president and the 41st president of United States — and sum up his life in a 90-minute memorial? When George H. W Bush first unveiled the "thousand points of light" very few people understood the meaning of this visionary look into the future. Unfortunately, or more likely fortunately as we gradually learned the true meaning of this phrase as Bush's true intent to move the country and the world toward this ideas of globalism or World Government. Something that certain individuals in likely every country on the planet seeks to create this world system of absolute tyranny. That I consider the true image of George H. W. Bush.
