ReplyDeleteI saw this movie when it first came our 41 years ago. You're right, it's a lot of fun. I almost died laughung in the last fifteen minutes, but my favorite characters were Gloria's landlord played by Burgess Meredith and his live-in companion ESME the SNAKE.
Thank you, Corey. I think the scene where Burgess Meredith and the villainess, "Delia Dorrow" were doing Karate chops on each other in the Bishop's living room was on of the funniest things I've ever see.

I saw this film years ago and laughed till I was gasping for air.
ReplyDeleteWill try to find time to watch it again.
I caught it on TV in the wee hours a few days ago, and found it even more delightful than I had before –– and I've probably seen it at least ten times over the years.
DeleteOn a whim I looked it up n Google to see if it was available and was surprised and delighted to find that it was. Many great old films that HAD been vailable on YouTube hve been taken off, so it's probably a good idea to catch 'em while ya can. ;-)
I believe we are in desperate need of FUN and LAUGHTER. All politics all the tme makes us irritable, disagreeable, grouchy and unproductive, etc.
As the dear old Reader's Digest happily told us for several decades, "LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE."
