To Joyful Preparation
May your shopping days be filled with joy and love,
Each one a dance step till the Day of Days
Reveals the Gift Supreme sent from Above
Reaching out to all with songs of praise.
Year’s end arrived. (It never can be stopped!)
Caring, crafting, cooking, caroling time
Heralds Love, whom God from Heaven dropped.
Reason says that nothing so sublime
In all this hurly burly could exist;
Spirit says that Love is all that’s real
The Anxiety we feel shows we have missed
Making hopeful sharing our Ideal.
Angels sing. Your needs you can afford,
So freely give to praise our Infant Lord.
