Dear March — Come in —
How glad I am —
I hoped for you before —
Put down your Hat —
You must have walked —
How out of Breath you are —
Dear March, Come right up the stairs with me —
I have so much to tell —
I got your Letter, and the Birds —
The Maples never knew
that you were coming — till I called
I declare — how Red their Faces grew —
But March, forgive me — and
All those Hills you left for me to Hue —
There was no Purple suitable —
You took it all with you —
Who knocks? That April.
Lock the Door —
I will not be pursued —
He stayed away a Year to call
When I am occupied —
But trifles look so trivial
As soon as you have come
That Blame is just as dear as Praise
And Praise as mere as Blame —

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886)

  2. South Carolina Democrats Vote to Sow Down the Socialism Train

    Washington Examiner

    by Editorial Staff

Heading into South Carolina, it appeared that Democrats were taking the express train to socialism. Sen. Bernie Sanders arguably won the chaotic Iowa caucuses, then went on to a solid victory in New Hampshire, and a crushing triumph in Nevada. As the race went toward the Palmetto State, there was talk that Sanders might be able to deliver a “kill shot.” Instead, Joe Biden revived his candidacy with a dominant win, fueled by black voters who tend to be more pragmatic than the pro-revolution wing of the party. A day after winning Nevada, 60 Minutes aired an interview with Sanders in which he dug in on his decades of defenses . . .

    1. Miss Dickinson, distinguished Amercan poetess of Amherst, Massachusetts, did her best to live by her own words.

Could any of the vociferous, braying, cynical, condescending, ever-disquieting "philosophers," "poseurs", vicious partisan fools and guttersnipes infesting the blogosohere make such a claim with any shred of honesty?

      THEY COULD NOT!

Instead, what they DO do is tantamount to pouring GASOLINE on an already blazing iINFERNO.

  5. _______ Emily Dickinson _______

Eking out existence phrase by phrase
Moved by deep desire, maimed by dread
    Inward-seeing –– words like “chrysoprase”
    Lay beneath the commonplaces said

    Yesterday aloud in pale austerity.
Dumb 'neath neat white frock a passion soared
In silent self-made world, and saw the Verity
Contained in visions stark, but leading toward

Kashmir! Perhaps Brazil, the Alps, the Grave.
In life unknown, a lonely wraith –– a mist ––
No one heard the meek majestic rave
Starved for Solace –– praying to be kissed.
On secret stiles of silence one may climb
Nunlike –– quite unnoticed in one's time.

The guilty flee when no man pursueth, says Proverbs, but it does not follow from this that the guilty do not flee when they are indeed pursued.

The guilty also have a tendency to argue when they know that they are in the wrong, as for example architects who continue to deny that, for the past seventy years at least, they have been disenchanting the world by espousing a dysfunctional functionalism and constructing buildings so hideous that they make Frankenstein’s monster look like Clark Gable. . . .

I take as an example the response of a university professor of architecture to President Trump’s executive order making the classical style of architecture compulsory for . . .

    Goodbye, Liz!

    National Review,

    by Michael Brendan Dougherty

In a recent interview with 60 Minutes, former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg tried to describe the political scene: A few years ago, there was a revolution against the intelligentsia. People said, “You know, those people, particularly on the coasts, are trying to tell us what to do.” They wanted a change. That explains Donald Trump.

Now, people seem to have changed. This cycle, people want stability. Have they changed so much? Bloomberg thinks the tides are turning in his direction. I’m not so sure on either count. If people wanted the intelligentsia, if they wanted someone on the coasts telling them what to do, Elizabeth Warren . . .

  14. US Stocks Bounce Back with BIGGEST GAIN Since 2009, While Apple Records Its Strongest Day In Two Years As Wall Street Recovers From Plunge Over Coronavirus Fears

    Daily Mail (UK) & Wires

    by Lauren Fruen & Staff

Wall Street surged on Monday as investors hunted for bargains following reassurances by central banks that they stood ready to counter the economic impact from the coronavirus following last week’s steep sell-off. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1,296.81 points, or 5.1 per cent, to 26,706.17. The S&P 500 gained 136.3 points, or 4.61 per cent, to 3,090.52 and the Nasdaq Composite added 384.80 points, or 4.49 per cent, to 8,952.17. The huge gains clawed back some of the ground lost in a massive sell-off last week. It was the biggest-ever point gain for the Dow and the biggest percentage gain since March 2009. . . .

    2. Well, AOW, I try never to miss an opportunity to REJOICE, –– even i it lasts only a moment ortwo.

As of 10:00 AM the Dow was DOWN 253 points. That doesn't surprise me, nor does it faze me, beause I have implicit faith in the strength of our country –– even as battered, bruised and bleeding as she may be from relentless MARXICRAT attacks.

I'll certainly be watching the DOW throughout the day. It should be interesting to see how it fares.

    3. Thank you for the article suggestng that Bernie's Ascendancy could possibly have much more to do with the recent Market Debacle than the deadly Virus du Jour.

Seems entirely plausible, since MARXIAN initiatives in the long run have a far more deadly effect on the Fate of Nations than any mere PHYSICAL factors.

Once ur SPIRITS have been crushed, chewed and spatut by Marxan Manipulators we'd ll be better of dead anyway

Ever since I saw Knight Without Armor –– astory of the devastatng effects of the murderous Bolshvik Revolution – back n the early 1950's, I've been a firm believer in the old shibboleth:

      BETTER ... D_E_A_D ... THAN ... R_E_D.

    4. PS: the DOW certainly DID suffer a big reversal of yesterday's epic gains, but is still about 500 points ahead of where it was the day before the Big Bounce Back.

The next few days will determine its course, I'm sure.

Still rough seas ahead, I'm sure, at least until President trump WINS re-election next November.

  15. It must be a terrible thing to only have a few marbles, to begin with, and then end up losing most of them on the way to the podium.

But I guess that “Bumbling Joe” is just the kind of guy that the DNC wants in the White House. Yes, Crazy Joe Biden is exactly the type of candidate the Democratic Establishmnet, and Old George Soros want

And old simpleton coot that they can control

Just let Old Joe in that big White House, groping little girls, and Smelling the hair of the big ones, and they’ll do the rest .
For Heavens sakes, the guy can barely articulate a thought, how in God’s name is he going to take on the onslaught of Donald Trump – much less speak to Foreign Leaders?
If Bernie Sanders takes California and Creepy Joe Biden wins Texas I think it’s a dogfight right up to the convention and possibly a contested one.
The Democratic party’s knives have come out, Bernie Sanders is getting stabbed left and right, and in between.. People have to understand, the Democratic party thrives on bribes, kickbacks, and backroom deals, meaning that the government is for sale when a Democratic is elected president.
And the Democrats are not convinced that Bernie will play ball them so they are hitching their hopes to Uncle Joe Biden, someone that they know will be crooked to the teeth!.

I think its likely Biden cut deals with all these new supporters, that's how the Democratic party works.

And at the end of the day Creepy, Bumbling Joe, is still Creepy, and still Bumbling, and still losing!

Kind of Hypocritical since Brazil tried to rig the 2016 election in Hillary's favor, when SHE provided Hillary Clinton with the debate questions in advance. Progressives seem to have a whole lot of experience with CHEATING.

  18. A Facebook member posted a picture of President Trump Hugging the American Flag and called it “TRULY DISTURBING”
“TRULY DISTURBING”? Is She Kidding??? Now Hugging the American Falg, the Country that we ALL Love Is “TRULY DISTURBING”?
There WASN’T even a flag is displayed at the Democratic debates!
And by the way, did you call Joe Biden’s Groping LITTLE Gires, or Smelling Women’s hair “TRULY DISTURBING”???? Well I certainly did! If anything was “TRULY DISTURBING” it was Joe Bidens Stupid, and Perverted Actions. Not Hugging the American Flag.
Donald Trump Truly LOVES Our Country. And Hugging the Flag of the Country you Love is NOT a bad thing. In fact We Should Treasure It.
Joe Biden is simply hilarious! He has known for being a gaffe machine all his life, and it seems that the older he gets the worse it has become.
So if nothing else, Joe Biden will at least be very entertaining in the debates..

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news to you and even more awful, and depressing news, but Donald J. Trump is going to win in November. And that senile, deranged clown Joe Biden is not going to be our next President. And President Trump will be.. So Go Ahead and Say the Words, Because You’ll Be Saying Them for the next Four and a Half Years “President Trump IS Your President.”
