DeleteI've replaced The Patron Saint of Discotheque [Thank you Anonymous, that was amusing] with The famous Peter Paul Rubens portrait of St. Teresa of Avila, the generally accepted image of what she looked like, despite their not beng contemporaries. [Teresa lived from 1515 to 1582. Rubens was born in 1577, so at five years of age he couldn't possibly have painted her from life!]

And when it comes to the coronavirus pandemic we should not be hoping for him to fail or cheering on bad news and other negatively such as the economy falling. Just like Bill Maher said he is “hoping for an economic collapse so he can 'get rid of Trump'” Spoken like a true Progressive A-Hole!

And in your hate of the President, you want the entire country to fail as well. And you are so blind in your hared that you don't even realize it's going to effect you, and your family as well

Bill Maher doesn't even try to hide his hatred, and his disloyalty and says what many of you Socialist Lefties are thinking. You don't care who gets hurt as long as your mindless hatred is served.
Trump in my opinion. Trump is not the cause of the pandemic in this country or around the world. We should be praying for him and the medical staff that is working with him, praying for wisdom. We should be hoping that the decisions that they are making, and the decisions of a lot of other people too, are going to help our country turn the corner.
I've seen it more than a few times on these very Facebook pages, and also from celebrities, the “so-called journalists , talk-show hosts, and others including unfortunately the Democratic Politicians. I’ve even seen where the New York City Mayor wants to let prisoners out of Jail to avoid crowing! How stupid is that! .
Many people on the left are hoping that Trump messes things up, even hoping the Virus infection numbers rise so that it makes him look bad, hoping that the virus sinks his presidency or sinks the economy so that is hurts his reelection is not right in my personal opinion, it's wrong, it's amoral. We as a nation should be rooting for his administration's success when it comes to this crisis, because it will also be our success too. If there are failures or troubles then we should be praying for guidance and hoping for good learnings from those failures and troubles, but we should not be cheering or happy because of those failures, neither quietly happy or loudly happy about it in my opinion. I think most people don't have this mindset, but if you do then I would ask that you step back and reconsider your position and what it is that you are wanting to happen or hoping will happen. But no, the Democrats are only good at sitting on the fence, and complaining, pissing and moaning, and everything else but doing something to make things right!
My main point is that we should be wishing, hoping, and praying, that he does a good job and praying for wisdom so that he does succeed in this crisis since it benefits all of us when he is successful.
I sincerely hoped more would xpress appreciation for, then draw courage and inspiration from St. Teresa's immortal words, but –– as everyone must learn sooner or later –– "You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink."
