Attorney General William Barr told Congress on Sunday that special counsel Robert Mueller concluded there was no criminal collusion between the Trump presidential campaign and the Russian government. Over the course of the years-long Mueller investigation, some of the media´s biggest stories resulted in retractions, apologies, and even departures. Some reports, many of which relied on unnamed sources and remain uncorroborated, have never been retracted or corrected. One such story was even refuted by the Special Counsel’s Office in a rare public rebuke. (Snip) But Barr explained that Mueller´s probe was extensive. Stick a fork in impeachment. It’s dead. Victory doesn’t get any sweeter for the winners. Or more important for our country. The results of the probe by special counsel Robert Mueller are a tremendous vindication for President Trump and the many millions of Americans who never doubted his innocence. Let me repeat the point: It is now a fact beyond any doubt whatsoever that Donald Trump is the legitimate 45th president of the United States.“Hail to the Chief,” this time with feeling. The ...

High-profile Democrats repeatedly promised the public they would see evidence of collusion between President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and Russia. But special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation found no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia’s 2016 election meddling, according to a four-page letter that Attorney General William Barr sent to Congress on Sunday. “The Special Counsel’s investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election,” Barr’s letter states. President Trump and his legal team declared total victory Sunday following the release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s key findings--including no evidence of collusion with Russia during the 2016 campaign--but sought to turn the tables by renewing calls to investigate the investigators. Trump himself slammed the probe as an “illegal takedown,” as he called Mueller’s report a “complete exoneration” and said it was a “shame” his presidency had to deal with the investigation for two years. “Hopefully somebody is going to look at the other side,” Trump said. “This was an illegal takedown that failed and hopefully somebody is going ...
