What Part of “Illegal” Does Lizzie Warren Not Grasp?
by Joe Fitzgerald

One of the most powerful lines ever employed in cultural discourse simply asked, “What part of ‘no’ don’t you understand?”
It was directed at predatory men who force themselves upon unwilling, resistant women and what made it devastatingly effective was that there was nothing coy about it — no play on words, no double-entendres, no obfuscation.
Even a dolt could understand it. So, presumably, could a defense attorney.
Well, it’s been echoing here this week after watching Elizabeth Warren, a shameless opportunist, exploit traumatized kids languishing along our southern border in order to take another bite from the anti-Trump apple.
While the ruthless slaying of 20-year-old Iowa coed Mollie Tibbetts by an allegedly illegal immigrant was forcing horrified Americans to again contemplate the importance of vetting who we allow into this country, as Kate Steinle’s killing did three summers ago, our ambitious senator rode the coattails of the tragedy to resume her badmouthing of the White House.
“I’m sorry for the family,” she condescendingly allowed before immediately transitioning to a mawkish account of pathos at our border.
“I went down and saw where children had been taken away from their mothers,” she said. “We need immigration laws that focus on people who pose a real threat; I don’t think mamas and babies are the place that we should be spending our resources. Separating a mama from her baby does not make this country safer.”
That begs a question: Senator, what part of “illegal” don’t you understand?
We are not a heartless country; far from it. But we are a nation of laws and, truth be told, those babies were brought to those border locations by parents intent upon thumbing their noses at our laws.
Senator, please, the tears of those children, like the tears now being shed by Mollie Tibbetts’ loved ones, need to be viewed in a context larger than your own ambitions.
To simply use them for your own personal gain is cheap.
The context makes a difference.
In courtrooms you can find kids sobbing as Dad is led off to prison.
In airports you can find them weeping as Dad heads off to war.
Those tears are real and understandable, but so are the reasons that caused them to flow.
That’s why, no matter how much those kids you describe touch our hearts, we can’t scrub laws or alter policies because of them, and we surely shouldn’t be using them as props to advance our own agendas.
Seriously, senator, it’s not complicated, not if you understand what illegal really means.
Being perpetually "upset," outraged," "afftonted," "offended," "indignant," "accusatory," "ungrateful," and seething with a Rabid Desire always to FIND FAULT, NEGATE, MOCK, SNEER, DERIDE, CONDEMN, PUNISH, and ELIMINATE all OPPOSING VIEWS are the things thlat DEFINE the Left.
ReplyDeleteThat is ALL they know how to do. There is NOTHING ELSE they have got offer.
If you don't believe me, just look at the copious evidence exposing their bilious nature these pathetic, witless, humorless stumblebums leave at Blogistan's comments sections.
ReplyDeleteWho can, and will bring the most Hate to the stage? Who will it be?
Will it be Elizabeth "Pocahontas" Warren, the Senator from Massatwoshits, the Faux Native American? ? The Loud Mouthed Nauseating Cory Booker the Socialist Senator, and former Mayor from Newark New Jerzsea? Or perhaps Creepy Uncle Joe “Hands” Biden with his Extremely Disturbing Behavior around Women, and Little Girls?
Maybe it will be New York Progressive Mayor Bill de Blasio, who never saw a Socialist that he didn’t like, or New York Governor Andrew Cuomo who thinks that America was NEVER Great, and who is still trying to figure our how he’s going to do everything that he promised he would do in his last State of the State address, such as rebuild the Port Authority Bus Terminal, Re locate, and rebuild, and enlarge the Jarvis Center, Remodel and Modernize Penn Staten, Relocate Grand Central Station, and so on...
And here we go again, with Former New York’s Mayor Michael Bloomberg if and when he figures out which party he wants to run in, after all he has been in them all. And if he figures out what he wants to “Ban” this time around, as he has already banned Slurpee’s. All large Soda’s, Paper Bags, Sugar, and Salt, Cars in Times Square, Toy Guns, Trans-fats in restaurants, Styrofoam packaging for take-out foods in Restaurants,
Playing Music with over 45 decibels. Cigarette Displays in-stores, "Flavored" tobacco products.
He has made Chain restaurant put calorie counts on their menus! Two-term limits for City elected officials, EXCEPT if it’s for Him.
All that and he was only a Mayor, Imagine if he were president?
And then we have Senator Kamala Harris from California, that new young, Radical Liberal/Progressive black, female who has only been a Senator since last January, but who has been the buzz in the party because of her big mouth, and her radical edge, and because of her out-spoken feelings about President Trump. And who has made many important decisions, but I can’t seem to think of any at the moment.
I would say that there are something like 12-15 Democrats who want to debate each other and tear each other to pieces so that they can be the one to face President Trump in 2020. That alone should make some fantastic theater.
And don’t rule out our old friend the 75 year old Bernie Sanders the self admitted Socialist who still has plenty of enthusiastic backers and has been touring the country to keep his name in the headlines.
Others of course don’t count Oprah out with her powerful band of followers. But she just LOVES " Potato Chips, Bread and Pasta ", and lets not rule out The Hildabeast who still may have a bit of Fight left in her bones, “Auntie” Maxine Waters aka James Brown. And of course the Number One Jumping Jack Performer in the Country Michele “Moochie” Obama! The Cheer Leader for Organic Food products.
But lets face it, 2020 is far off, and a lot of new Barking Moonbats could enter the picture by then. And the more the left attacks President Trump, the more popular he gets. And the more popular he gets, The more insane they become.
They can yell, and scream for impeachment, until they are Blue in the face, but that’s NEVER going to happen. President Trump has been thinking ten moves ahead of his enemies from the moment he was sworn in.
Sorry but I lost all my respect for him still I do wish him to Rest In Peace.
ReplyDeleteHe was an American who fought for his, and our country, and for that alone I express my condolences to his family, and my God grant him peace.
McCain was his own man, and he took a dark, perverse pleasure in sticking his thumb in the eyes of those who thought he was on their side. In these hyper-partisan times, our nation would benefit from more like him, if they were evenly distributed among the two side. May he rest in peace.

I called out the progressive's immigration agenda years ago:
Bring in the wrong people, and bring them in the wrong way, flagrantly, loudly, with an entire pathos-sodden industry supporting the whole project.
See, Latinos have a bad habit of "disappearing" into the white demographic. After a few generations, they intermarry and become "white," refuse to use their "brown person" status to agitate for special victim status and half of them perform the unconscionable act of voting Republican.
Progressive Democrats can't have that, so they create a wedge issue with immigration, and their thought-free emotion-based propaganda is guaranteed to pluck every heartstring in the key of sympathy.
The left is diabolical in their manipulation of our emotions.
I could never characterize Democrat leaders as "thought-free," Silver.
DeleteThey think a great deal, but I prefer to tdefine their thought processes as SCHEMING against America's best interests.
As I see it, their SOLE interest is in gaining, maintaining and expanding DICTATORIAL POWER in perpetuity.
The LEFT tends always to EXPLOIT the crowd by pandering to popular sentiment, but leftist leaders have NO authentic emotions of their own other than the aforementioned LUST for unchecked POWER.
Their capacity for unbridled HYPOCRISY and fulsome rhetoric is Brobdignagian.
As for McCain I certainly sympathized with his plight as a POW, but lost ALL respect for him as his political career advanced. He was WORSE than a mere RINO by far. In latter years he acted quite openly as a virtual ENEMY AGENT.
I wonder if the glioblastoma that corroded his brain and eventually took his life didn't severely damage his ability to think straight long before it was diagnosed?
I will never get over my resentment at the way McCain literally THREW the 2008 election to OBAMA.
No one will ever persude me to believe it was NOT part of a Master Plan –– a deiberate strategy by the Globalist Oligarachs –– to ensure the election of a leftist Negro president, because THEY thought it "politic."
McCain had his orders, and he followed them with unholy ZEAL.
ROMNEY did the same –– the BASTARD!
Senator John McCain has died and I thank him for his service and sacrifice.
ReplyDeleteI didn't always agree with him, in fact I don’t think that I ever did, but I did respect him And I thank him for his service, and all that he went through during the time he was a POW.
As a conservative I had my own disagreements with McCain and I took those issues to be very serious.
In his last year in the U.S. Senate McCain cast the deciding vote with Democrats to keep ObamaCare. Again, Democrats were delighted and conservatives like myself were not surprised even though McCain promised repeatedly to "repeal and replace ObamaCare." . But as we know he didn’t, he took his anger with President Trump out on his party and his country,
He even went as far as to call President Trump’s Supporters “Crazies” .. Kind of like Hillary calling us all “Deplorables”.Sorry, Senator. Your heroism was deeply appreciated, but enough, was enough.
And I’m not even going to get into the Phony Dossier that Hillary Paid for and that McCain was involved in.
McCain is DEAD and I will not speak ill of him, so just let me say May he rest in peace, and may the Lord comfort his family.
The Maverick did his best service since the election of Donald Trump this week by sucking all of the oxygen out of the anti-Trump diatribes that had been building for Sunday talk shows.
ReplyDeleteAnchors away, Sen. John McCain!
I grew to DETEST him, FJ, and I'll be God-damned to HELL before I'll stoop to saying anything "nice" about him just because he DIED. I only wish it had happened at least ten years ago. He did incalculable harm to
Deletethe GOP and to Conservative Causes everywhere.
I'm taking a page from your friend Roger Scruton's book praising stalwart souls –– like Maggie Thatcher and now Donald Trump –– who have had the courage to let themselves be hated for simply telling the TRUTH.
Sorry. It was one of the only good things I could think of to say about him. I, too, can't stand him any more... but on the occasion of his death, I find it's best to remain silent about the negatives.
DeleteThat being said, he was a "maverick" in the same sense as Antigone. It was both his greatest strength, and perhaps his greatest weakness. It yielded him no protections from his own hubris, which freed Nemesis to perpetually haunt both him and the Republican Party.
No need toa pologizeto ME, GJ. Believe it or not i respect everyone's right to hold his own views. HOWEVER, I Cannot –– and WILL NOT –– abide demented perverts and stupid fools who get their kicks by TROLLING me or anyonie else JUST because theu love to ANNOY people.
DeleteYou know –– the kind of stuff that infests and dominates Lisa's blog.
That is where "Freedom of Expression" STOPS with me. I don't think blatant ABUSE of the First Amendment should be regarded as a legitimate form of dissent or "protest." PERIOD!
Derision and ridicule are all they deserve, Franco. Logic and reason are not their provinces.
DeleteAMEN!
DeleteI believe the democrat party's life now relies on illegals and voting fraud.
ReplyDeleteCould be, Kid. Sure ooks thlat way rght now.
DeleteBut don't forget the role played by Cultural Marxists (crypto-Commies) who've been running –––– News and Information, Education, Entertainment, and the COURTS.longer than you've been alive.
Their "Long Slow Marchl through the Culture" has wrught havoc and laid waste mch that was good about America, and they've done ot with seductive WORDS and bad IDEAS –– NOT GUNS!

ReplyDeleteRush did a good job today of "telling it like it is", bless him!
DeleteYou would have thought Mitch McConnell, however, was giving a eulogy go Mother Teresa.
Not to .worry. This too shall pass.
I have always felt very sorry John McCain had to endure five-and-a- half years of privation, abuse and torture at the Hanoi Hiltom, and I feel compelled to say I respect his decision NOT to take advantage of the opportunty for early release, –– a move that would have given his North Vietnmaese captors "better optics," as we would say today.
ReplyDeleteMcCain was the son of a prominent admiral, a status he could have used to his own advantage. We must say that because he chose not to, and chose solidarity with his fellow prisoners, instead, speaks well for him.
That said in latter years I frankly grew to despise John McCain, because his bizarre actions as a RINO Reublican Senator from Arizona seemed calculated more to draw attention to himself than because he was truly standing firm on any recognizable principle.
I saw him not only as a grandstander, but as a nettlesome, often foolish individual who too often took it upon himself to thwart the Conservative agenda by lending support both tacit and at times overt to its opponents. [I doubt if anything would ever convince me, that McCain didnt deberately THROW the election to Obama for reasons that may never come to light.]
So in latter years I couldn't help but refer to him sarcastically as McPain, and McVain.
Perhaps it was both impolitic and distasteful by ordinary standards for the-candidate Donald Trump to insult his fellow candidates as he did, and to denigrate McCain's war record claiming that being shot down and imprisoned in a hellish oriental POW camp does not make anyone a "hero," but I have to agree. It makes one a VICTIM of BAD LUCK, but hardly a"HERO." However, it would have been better for all concerned if Mr. Trump had publicly acknowledged the NOBILITY of McCain's brave, principled decision to reman in Hanoi's hottest hellhole when he didn't have to.
Nevertheless, Mr. Trump did what he KNEW he HAD to do in order to WIN, and for that I praise hm. bless him, and magnify and glorify his name. The GOP has not freqently been referred to as The Stupid Party for nothing.
[INTERESTING NOTE: I heard just last night for the first time on FBN that the North Vietnamese did not begin to torture McCain till AFTER he'd refused release. His captors hope the maltreatment would induce him to change his mind about leaving.. Whether this is true or not I have no way of knowing. ALL news sorces are highly sspect these days. I trust NONE of them.]
Too bad we never got to rake Lizzie Warren over the coals, as I had hoped we would.
ReplyDeletePerhaps anither day?
Hopefully soon, Lizzia is a dangerous Marxilunatic as well as a froward, desperately unattractive, manipulative screami[ng bitch.
The Good Lord Almighty did use McCain to expose the vulnerable parts of the GOP. I'm forever grateful that He exposed that weak spot by using McCain for that purpose.
